Neighborhood Rides to the Polls

Black churches turned this into an institution decades ago with “Souls to the Polls”: after Sunday service, congregations roll straight to early-voting sites together, turning a solo errand into a caravan. Doing this on your own is easier than you think. Match neighbors who need a lift with neighbors who can give one. This plan works because it's specific and personal.

To run your own, you need three lists and a group chat: who can drive, who needs a ride, and when each person plans to vote. Confirm the polling location and early-voting hours in advance, pair drivers with riders who live nearby, and text reminders the morning of. The rider this year could be the driver next year.
